✴︎ SHIRIN/ SHISHI

mother of Nouran / founder

law practitioner turned spiritual warrior

Hi, my name is Shirin (Shishi, if you like). I am a 26-year-old, half Persian, half German yogi from Cologne, Germany.

At the end of 2024, I packed my bags, quit my job in law, sold my apartment along with everything I owned, and set off on a journey through Southeast Asia. After years of feeling disconnected from myself, I finally felt the light I had carried as a child begin to shine through my soul again. Life started to make sense, and with that clarity, I found my purpose: to help women reconnect with and reawaken their own inner light.

This is why my work focuses on yin and soulful, slow yoga sequences. My classes invite gentle growth and create a loving ritual with yourself — a space to soften, to listen, and to connect with the deeper layers of your soul.

For me, life is about growing, expanding, and creating new possibilities and realities, while staying true to your own path and nurturing body, mind, and soul.

My ancient Persian roots place great significance on the idea of “shining your light.” This is why I chose Nouran as the name of my retreat. Nouran is a space created for my fellow sisters who feel called to rediscover their radiance — to never dim their light to fit into others’ expectations, and to gently, curiously ask themselves:
What sparks the light within me?

"don't you know yet?

it is your light that lights the world."

- Shirin's favourite quote inspired by the persian poet Rumi
